APPLETON — J. J. Keller Community Foundation announced Friday it will offer a $25,000 corporate match day for Salvation Army-Fox Cities' Red Kettle Campaign on Dec. 20 in honor of Jack and Ethel Keller.
"He and Ethel would have probably been bell ringers if they were alive today — they thought that much of the work of the Salvation Army. Since they aren't here, the family agreed to do a match day in their parents' and grandparents' honor. It's a fitting tribute to them, as they were all about meeting basic needs." Robb Waugus, director of communications and financial development for the Salvation Army-Fox Cities, called the match day a blessing. "The need is so great here in the community," he said. "Jack and Ethel Keller helped so many people in need for so many years and to this day they continue to make such a positive impact in our community." |
