APPLETON — The Women's Fund for the Fox Valley Region on Tuesday announced it had raised about $14,000 for its Violence Prevention Education Fund.

Organizers credited the fourth annual Let's Dish event for helping bring in the extra cash. As part of that event, women from across the Fox Valley held violence awareness and prevention programs this spring in their homes.

The fund reported raising an additional $4,000 for the Center for Grieving Children as a result of a matching gift from the J. J. Keller Foundation.
